Tbilisi and Yerevan to be connected by railway
An agreement on cooperation was signed between the Georgian and Armenian railways. As was reported by Business Georgia, the agreement provides for developing cooperation between two countries in the field of passenger and freight traffic, infrastructure improvement, information exchange and others.
Besides, the agreement implies the launching of a high-speed train along the Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan route. It will perform daily trips from July 15 to September 30. Besides, leaders of the two countries agreed to fix an additional Yerevan-Batumi-Yerevan trip on Tuesdays and Fridays.
A document on cooperation was signed by head of the Georgian railway Irakly Egubaya and Director of the Armenian railway Shevket Shaidulyan.
