Kalandadze: Georgia has got no military debts to Israel

2011-04-18 16:33

Deputy Foreign Minister of Georgia Nino Kalandadze denies any military debts on Georgia's part, including to Israeli weapon producer, Elbit Systems Company. This was stated by Kalandadze at today's briefing before the journalists. "According to the information available, Georgian Ministry of Defense does not only have any military debts but there is even a number of military companies in the world who owe Georgia", - Kalandadze stated.

Let us remind you that earlier, information appeared that Elbit Systems is going to collect about 100 million dollars from the Georgian government in a court case for the products supplied. Notably, the point at issue is the non-payment of amounts payable to the company for supplies under contracts signed in 2007.
