Minister of Defense of Turkey Blames UN for Unsuccessful Resolution of Conflicts
Vezhdi Genul, Minister of Defence of Turkey, made a statement in which he blamed the UN for its inactivity with regard to the questions related to the resolution of conflicts in the Caucasus and the Middle East, inform the Azerbaijanian mass media.
"The occupation of 20% of Azerbaijanian territories by Armenia is still going on, the problem between Georgia and Russia has not been solved, there are some disturbances in Syria, Libya and Iraq, and, of course, Turkey has to respond to all these challenges", declared the Turkish Minister at a meeting in Antalya.
The Minister severely criticized the UN for failure to solve these conflicts.
"We want peace in our region and, of course, we cannot remain indifferent to so many problems", declared Genul.
Vezhdi Genul also noted that Turkey is against tensioning around Iran.
"Iran is our neighbor. And we have a long frontier with this country, and any tension in Iran, of course, will affect us. So we will continue to make any efforts to solve the Iranian problem by peaceful means", he noted.
