The building of the Georgian Parliament May Turn into a Hotel
The building of the Georgian Parliament in Tbilisi may be sold because of the deputies' transfer to Kutaisi, informs IA Regnum.
However, the Parliament building may become one of the last locations of public authority bodies to be set for an auction.
Hotels construction has been started instead of the ex-Ministry of Agriculture and the ex-Supreme Soviet of Abkhazia in which the Central Election Commission used to be situated, too.
The Akhali Taoba newspaper informs that a few days ago the Parliament building was visited by some businessmen from Greece and some Arabian countries who considered the possibility of reconstructing it transforming it into a hotel.
"When the Parliament building in Kutaisi is completed, the issue of the privatization of this building (in Tbilisi) at its real price will be included into our agenda", said the Parliamentary Secretary of the government Giya Khuroshvili.
