Georgia Started Preparing to New Tourist Season
The Georgian leader Mikhail Saakashvili gave an order to all the relevant offices with regard to the start of the preparations to the new tourist season. The GHN reported it referring to the information disclosed at today's briefing by the Press Speaker of the President Manana Mndjgaladze.
"This summer we expect quite a big number of tourists and we have a reason for this. According to the statistics, in the first 4 months of 2011 our country were visited by 679 409 people, which is 43% more than the same indicator of 2010", Mandjgaladze said at the briefing.
In her words, this year the biggest number of tourists are expected to arrive in Batumi, Anaklia and other tourist areas.
"We are actually preparing to receive tourists of all types. Our relief lets us properly receive tourists both in the mountains and on the seaside. A successful tourist season means increased investments, an increased number of workplaces", said the President's Press Speaker.
