«Almost for three days our activists have been terrorized by civil service, political police, which was created by Saakashvili. Hundreds of our associates have been arrested. There were incidents of kidnapping. Saakashvili's people were seizing cars without trial, without an official reason» - OSinform cites Burjanadze.
According to Burjanadze, law enforcement agencies of the Republic enjoy the fact that more than 150,000 citizens are under conditional sentence. She added, that Security services are putting pressure on these people, threatening them with jail in case of participation in the opposition actions. «Terror continues. People just can not go out alone or with a friend near the places where the opposition hold the action» - said the leader of the «National Assembly».
Burjanadze also noted that recent actions of the authorities finally persuaded her that a dictatorial regime is established in Georgia. «Saakashvili revealed that he created a dictatorship in Georgia» - she added.
Recall, massive protests began in Georgia on May 21. Several thousand oppositionists gathered at the Square of Freedom in Tbilisi. According to independent observers, on the first day of the protests there came from three to five thousand people at the Square.
As the press service of the «National Assembly», which organizes the protests, reported, the main objective of the actions is to «restore constitutional rights taken away by the regime of Saakashvili». «At this stage we can not say an exact number of people who will take part in the protest, but we are confident that we can completely fill the area of the Square of Freedom» - said the press service of the «National Assembly».
«We have a plan, according to which everything will happen very fast, and the regime of Saakashvili will be overthrown. The actions won't be restricted within picketing the buildings of state institutions» - said the chief organizer of the action Nino Burjanadze.
