Azerbaijan will allocate Georgia a loan for $ 575 million
Today at the meeting of the Georgian Parliament an agreement with Azerbaijan on the allocation of Georgia the country additional $ 575 million as a long-term loan to complete construction of the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars was ratified. According to the "Business-Georgia", the credit is allocated for state-owned railway Marabda-Kartsakhi, which manages the Georgian segment of the regional rail project.
In 2007 Azerbaijan allocated Georgia $ 200 million credit means to finance construction and rehabilitation of the Georgian section of railway. The total volume of Azerbaijani credit for Georgia so is 775 million dollars.
Recall, Azerbaijan, Georgia and Turkey began the construction of the railway Baku-Tbilisi-Kars in 2007.
