Armenian business was invited to solve problems in Samtskhe-Javakheti
Armenian businessmen have been invited to cooperation with the Georgian side in solving problems of population of Samtskhe-Javakheti, populated mostly by Armenians. According to the "Business-Georgia", the proposal was announced on the eve by the Georgian Ambassador to Armenia Tengiz Sharmanashvili.
"A month ago in Tbilisi a business forum on project of development of the region of Javakheti was hosted. More than 40 businessmen have expressed interest in participating in this project" - said the ambassador. He assured that all the proposals of the Armenian businessmen will be mandatory considered.
The project envisages the development of tourism infrastructure area and the construction of winter resorts. "I hope that in the near future in Javakheti there will begin a large-scale construction, and Armenian businessmen and investors will be able to participate in this project" - underlined Sharmanashvili.
He added that the Georgian government is ready to do everything possible to solve the social problems of the Armenian population living in the area.
"We understand that social programs will not help if there are no jobs, infrastructure development can provide these jobs" - said ambassador.
