The information about the net profits of commercial banks in Georgia during the first four months of this year was published. According to the "Business-Georgia", with reference to ITA-TASS, January - April 2011, the banking sector of Georgia received a net profit of 81.4 million lari, compared with 24.4 million a year earlier. Such figures lead the Georgian National Bank.
Total assets of commercial banks on May 1 was 10 682.7 million lari, which is 22.5 per cent compared with data on May 1, 2010.
The capital reached 1 796.1 million lari against 1 554.1 million lari a year earlier, cashed chartered capital - 733.7 million lari compared to 620.9 million lari for the previous corresponding period.
The participation of foreign capital in chartered capital of commercial banks in Georgia was 81 percent compared with 77.1 percent a year earlier.
