Today the report on cooperation between Georgia and the EU will be announced
Presentation of the report on the implementation plan for cooperation between Georgia and the EU will be held today at the EU mission in Georgia. According to "Georgia-News", this presentation will be headed by the EU Ambassador in Georgia
This is the fourth interim report. The implementation of Georgia's "Action Plan" developed in the frameworks of the European Neighbourhood Policy for 2010 was documented.
The interim reports from the "European Neighbourhood Policy" have been published in Brussels, May 26, for 12 countries, including Georgia .
"In whole, the country has made a progress in implementing the priorities of the ENP Action Plan during 2010, particularly in reforming the judicial system, improving the procedures for conducting elections, increasing women's rights, constitutional reform, reforms in trade and business, regional development, as well as a substantial Reduction of Administrative Corruption" - the European Information Centre of the Neighbourhood and Partnership Instrument reported.
In the report it was also said that "at the same time, Georgia needs to intensify its efforts to consolidate democracy, in particular - relation to political pluralism and pluralism of the media".
Georgia joined the European Neighbourhood Policy on November 14, 2004.
