The first transaction is committed on the Tbilisi electronic exchange
The former Mercantile Exchange of Tbilisi has started to work in a new format - it has became electronic. According to the "Business-Georgia", citing the head of the Electronic Exchange Alexander Gorgidzhanidze, the company became a member of the international electronic exchange, which to date includes Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Armenia and Georgia.
According to Gorgidzhanidze today at Tbilisi electronic exchange there is making of its first deal to supply 10 thousand tons of cement from Georgia to Kazakhstan .
"In modern world, electronic exchange is more active and it is more important than the commodity markets" - underlined Gorgidzhanidze.
The Georgian Mercantile Exchange was opened in September 2010 but in January 2011 it has stopped functioning. Now it opens in a new format.
