Saakashvili: Georgia is returning to European roots
According to the head of the Georgian state, Mikhail Saakashvili, Georgia has a chance to return to the historical roots of Europe. As the "GHN" reports, such a statement was made by the President of Georgia in an interview with Euronews on the eve.
"Our country is the second on safty, but this fact has its price, and it annoys some people. Our nation will always make a retaliatory strike and we must resist it with the political dialogue and we must to explain to the people that there is no way to return" - Saakashvili said.
According to Saakashvili, Georgia has got a chance to return to its historical roots in Europe. "Georgia is one of the oldest Christian countries, which has always chosen western way of life. But at the same time, it remains outside of mainstream. This was a kind of an impossible dream. Fortunately, the country has survived and now there's a chance that the country will returned to its historical roots, to Europe. We were to find new ways of carryind out reforms, to destroy 90 percent of the bureaucracy, to free police" - the Georgian president said
