Russia is ready to increase financial aid to Abkhazia
Russia expresses its readiness to implement measures to increase financial aid to Abkhazia. According to the "Georgia-News", Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin told this to reporters on the eve during his meeting with Prime Minister of Abkhazia, Sergei Shamba.
"In the near future resources of over 10 billion rubles are built into the budget. We are ready not only to implement all the plans under this funding, but we are willing to look at the feasibility of other large-scale projects" - "RIA Novosti" quoted the words of Putin.
Russia has already allocated financial aid to Abkhazia and South Ossetia. Thus, the RF Ministry of Regional Development in cooperation with the authorities of Abkhazia has developed a "comprehensive plan to promote socio-economic development of Abkhazia in 2010-2012 for a total amount of 10.9 billion rubles.
