Tsiklauri: the Georgian opposition is dead
The representative of the Georgian parliamentary majority Nugzar Tsiklauri said that the recent actions of protest of opposition in the country have finally buried the political outlooks of many opponents of Mikhail Saakashvili.
"Not only the "Georgian Party" has ceased to exist and finally left the political arena, but the "National Assembly" and political association of Nino Burjanadze too, what is not surprising, because the leaders of opposition with their statements have testified that it was a chronicle of pre-declared political death" - "PirWeli" quoted the words of deputy.
According to Tsiklauri, opposition rallies only strengthened the Georgian state, as it showed the futility of radical actions and extremism. "These parties were against a strong Georgian state and it crashed down" - added Tsiklauri.
Recall, that in late May in Georgia there took place massive protests organized by opposition movement the "National Assembly". It were ended with the crackdown of rally of opponents of the current authorities in the night of 25 to 26 May in Tbilisi. As the result of the struggle of the fighting security forces and participants of the protests rally two people were killed and dozens were seriously injured.
