Charity dinner with Hollywood stars, which took place on Sunday in Tbilisi at the premiere of the film "5 Days in August", brought a profit of half a million lari. According to "Trend", Georgian businessmen, who wished to have a dinner with Sharon Stone, have payed from 5 to 10 thousand GEL for tickets.
Charity dinner was held after the presentation of the film "5 Days in August" about the Georgian-Russian war of 2008. At the premiere in Tbilisi there have come Hollywood actors involved in the filming. Special guest for the evening was Sharon Stone and the film's director Rene Harlin.
At the party, there has appeared and has made speech the head of the State of Georgia, Mikhail Saakashvili. He thanked the American actors for the film, adding that although it has not changed the situation in the country ... it is still very important for the rest of the world, and especially for the residents of Georgia. "Through this film people around the world will know what my fellow citizens, who fought for their independence, felt and thought, and though it was difficult to survive in those conditions, we saved the unity of our people and the will to freedom" - said Saakashvili.
