The government has sent 600,000 lari in eastern Georgia
Approximately 600 thousand GEL is allocated by the Georgian government for the elimination of disaster relief consequences in East Georgia. According to the "Georgia-News", this information was announced during the government meeting by the Prime Minister of Georgia Nikoloz Gilauri.
"There were already allocated 600,000 lari (about 364 thousand dollars) for the elimination of disaster relief consequences. Special teams in the field are carrying out the cleaning works" - Gilauri said. He added that if it is necessary, the assistance may be increased.
According to the Deputy Minister of Regional Development of Georgia Jambul Bakuradze, until the end of this week in the areas, affected by disaster, there will be restored all the damaged bridges, roads will be cleared, water supply problems will be solved.
Recall, on June 2, heavy rain and hail flooded houses, damaged roads and destroyed crops in the region of Kakheti. As a result of welter there is even a problem with drinking water supply in the region.
