The U.S. government gave Georgia the SUVs "Hummer"
The U.S. authorities continued to equip the Georgian armed forces of the the new techniques, as the "Autonews" reported.
The U.S. Department of Defense has transferred to the Ministry of Defence of Georgia 1940 SUVs "Hummer" of total ammount of five million dollars.
The automobiles were handed over free of charge.
According to the Ministry of Defence of Georgia, these automobiles are going to be used during training of troops, which are preparing to participate in peacekeeping operations in Afghanistan.
The ceremony of transfer of automobiles was held today at the Krtsanisi military base on the outskirts of Tbilisi. The Georgian militaries believe that the new gift of the Americans, is another evidence of the success of Georgian armed forces engaged in the mission in Afghanistan.
