In Georgia, the first cases of intestinal infection with fatal consequences have been documented. As the "Trend" reported with reference to information, announced by the National Center for Disease Control of Georgia, there is no epidemic of this disease, that is why no relevant instructions and recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) have been reported.

As the center's director Natia Avaliani noted in an interview with reporters, medics appeal to people with a pressing request to comply the necessary health standards in the use of raw vegetables. These are simple and all-known rules which can keep a person from spreading now all over Europe an intestinal infection.

Recall, recently in several European countries there was recorded an outbreak of a dangerous intestinal infection. More than a thousand people have been infected, more than a dozen died. According to one version, the cause of infection were contaminated vegetables that have come from Spain and Germany. At the same time, representatives of Berlin and Madrid have denied such charges.
