Baramidze will open another "nook of NATO"
Vice Prime Minister of Georgia, State Minister on Integration into European and Euro-Atlantic structures Baramidze will hold in the Georgian-American University a ceremony of the opening of "nook of NATO".
According to the "PirWeli", this event will also be attended by the ambassadors of Czech Republic and Hungary. Later there will be a meeting with students, where the representatives of the Georgian authorities and diplomatic representatives of the European countries will talk about the Alliance.
Recall, that recently the Georgian authorities have decided to open at universities and schools of the special information centers, which would describe the activities of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization - so-called "nooks of NATO".
This decision led to intense dissatisfaction with the opposition. So, in a statement of the movement "Free Georgia" was said that the issue of cooperation between Georgia and NATO should be decided only at the level of politicians.
"These discussions should take place between the politicians, because Georgia's membership in a particular military alliance is the subject of discussion of politicians and it has no relation to the educational process. Thus, the opening of "nooks of NATO" in schools and other educational institutions is a Bolshevik method of propaganda by the authorities that is totally unacceptable" - was noted in this statement.
Earlier, a protest against the opening of the "nooks of NATO" in the schools was expressed by the "Labour Party" of Georgia.
