Georgia reduces the tax burden for private hotels
Amendment to resort areas were introduced to the Tax Code of Georgia. According to the "Business-Georgia" with reference to the parliamentary secretary of the Government of Georgia, Gia Khuroshvili, now owners of private hotels have to register the so-called holiday season. During this time they will have to pay a fixed tax rate of 10 lari per 1 square meter only in accordance with the rentable area.
"The problems which they faced last year, should no longer occure. They do not have to perform complex accounting transactions. For them, the payment process was much simplified. This proposal was received from the owners of private family-run hotels. It is an alternative form of payment, however, they also can use the old system" - said Khuroshvili in an interview.
