In Georgia they can add an article on the attack on police to the Criminal Code
Today, amends to the Criminal Code were presented for review of the Parliament of Georgia. According to the "Georgia-News", one of amendments which the parliament considered today concerns the attack on the police, government official or government agency. The authors of the amendments to the Georgian Criminal Code are members of parliament Pavle Kublashvili, George Chiviashvili, Kakha Andzhaparidze and Zviad Kukava.
They propose to add to the Georgian Criminal Code an article in a wording: "Attack on a policeman, a government official or public agency, as well as their families, encroachment on their life, health or property in connection with the performance of professional activity of the police or other official". The penalty for this offense provides for a period of 7 to 20 years.
