Today, the Georgian parliament will consider amendments to the law "On gatherings and demonstrations". Also, non-governmental organizations of Georgia will get aquainted with it, reported the "GHN".
Earlier, the Constitutional Court declared invalid a legislative's decision about holding of actions, according to which holding demonstrations within a radius of 20 meters from Parliament, the President's Office, prosecutors, police, prisons, military units and facilities, railway stations, airports, hospitals, diplomatic missions and other objects became prohibited. Now the MPs have again voted for a number of prohibitions on holding actions.
Today, the authors of legislative initiative Pavle Kublashvili and Akaki Minashvili will introduce their initiative to the representatives of Georgian NGOs.
As Kublashvili noted in an interview, if it is necessary, there will also be hold consultations with the factions.
