Azerbaijan is ready to give citizenship to Armenians living in Karabakh until 1992
According to information announced by head of a public association "Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Karabakh" Bayram Safarov, Armenians living in Nagorno-Karabakh until 1992 and their children will be able to become citizens of Azerbaijan, being received the relevant documents.
"If the Armenians originally lived in Nagorno-Karabakh and will respect the law of Azerbaijan, so they will also be able to become citizens of Azerbaijan" - "Trend" quoted words of Safarov.
He also said that the current identity cards of Nagorno-Karabakh, issued by the local structures are "false."
In addition, Safarov urged Armenians, who were once citizens of Azerbaijan, to support the policies pursued by President Ilham Aliyev.
Recall, that the conflict between the two South Caucasus countries appeared in 1988.
