For restoration of damaged by the onslaught of the nature Rikotskiy pass the Georgian government intends to allocate additional funds. According to the "Georgia-News", it was said to reporters by spokesman of Georgian president Manana Manjgaladze.
"Our main task at this stage is to ensure public safety, what requires coordinated work of government departments in order to avoid further complication of the situation" - said Manjgaladze. She added that the funds will also be allocated from the Fund of President of Georgia.
"All areas where there took place natural disasters are under reconstruction and cleaning work. First of all it concerns the restoration of communications and the main thoroughfare," - spokesman added.
Recall, one of the main highways of the country - Rikotskiy Pass - has been blocked over the weekend by descended from the mountain landslides and mudslides caused by heavy rain. Mtishevi river has overflown. In the area of the Rikotskiy pass spill water has washed away one of the roadside restaurants, four people were killed and two more are missing.
According to the minister of regional development and infrastructure Georgia Ramaz Nikolaishvili, the traffic in Rikotskiy pass connecting the western and eastern parts of Georgia, will be fully restored in a few days.
