Even Slovakia is ready to train the Georgian soldiers
Minister of Defence of Slovakia Lubomir Galko highly appreciated the successes Sakartvelo in aspiration for NATO and noted the participation of Georgian soldiers in the Afghan operation. The militaries of both countries, which are not accepted into the Alliance, are ready to start cooperation.
During his meeting with Georgian Ambassador to Slovakia Alexander Nalbandov, Lubomir Galko said that "Slovakia fully supports Georgia's efforts aimed at joining the Atlantic alliance". Speaking about the NATO mission in Afghanistan and Sakartvelo, Slovak Minister of Defense said that Georgia (among countries not members of NATO) deployed in Afghanistan, has the largest number of its soldiers.
In summary, the defense minister of Slovakia declared its readiness to expand military cooperation with Georgia. Thus, Bratislava is ready to give Tbilisi training equipment, as well as to provide training for the Georgian military in the Academy of the Slovak Armed Forces. This was reported by RIA Novosti.
