The Georgian parliament is pleased with the activities of Interior Ministry
According to the deputy of the Georgian Parliament Vakhtang Balavadze, the Georgian parliamentary majority is pleased with the work of the Georgian Interior Ministry. As the "GHN" reported, the members of parliament have made such comment in connection with the disclosure by law enforcement agencies a plan of Irakli Okruashvili to return in Georgia, brokered by Russian special forces.
"Okruashvili was not acting in the interests of the country and his dignity, but on "behalf" of the Russian secret services. But the most important and significant is the fact that it was once again confirmed professionality of the Ministry of Internal Affairs. They often prevent such actions" - says Balavadze.
Earlier today, the Georgian law enforcement agency at a special briefing to the press announced a scheme whereby Irakli Okruashvili allegedly was going to get into Georgia with the assistance of Russian security services.
Thus, it was reported that the Georgian Interior Ministry has detained several people who are connected with the "Georgian party".
One of the detainees - George Sabashvili - has told about the plan of Irakli Okruashvili to return to Georgia with the support of the Russian special forces.
"Irakli Okruashvili has planned to cross the administrative border with the 200 units of Special Forces, where he was to meet with a group of Georgians, and then there was going to occur disarmament of checkpoint. Ostensibly empty ZIL, where in reality would be sitting Okruashvili and members of the gang, would have moved through the checkpoint , and there would have been carried out disarmament of checkpoint" - said the detainee.
