Head of the OSCE supports peaceful solution to the Nagorno Karabakh conflict
The current head of the OSCE, the head of the Lithuanian Foreign Minister Audronius Ajubalis stressed the importance of continuing efforts to achieve a peaceful settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. According to "Trend" referring to the official website of the OSCE, this was how he commented on the summit of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, which was held recently in Kazan.
"I applaud the efforts to achieve a common understanding on a number of issues that will help to create the conditions for approval of basic principles. I hope that work to resolve outstanding issues will continue to pave the way to resolve the conflict" - said Ajubalis.
Recall, that the current meeting of the presidents of Azerbaijan, Armenia and Russia, which took place on June 25, ended without any definite agreement on the basic principles for the settlement of Nagorno Karabakh. However, as was stated in a joint statement after the meeting, the sides had noted the progress towards this goal.
