At the border checkpoint "Dariali" they now issue visas
According to information announced today by the Georgian Foreign Ministry, from July 2 at the border checkpoint "Dariali" (the customs checkpoint "Kazbegi - Lars") at the Georgian-Russian border they began issuing visas on the spot. As the "Georgia-News" reported, it was done to simplify the movement of tourists, businessmen, and persons entering Georgia for medical services.
"This decision is an extension of the visa policy of Georgia, whose purpose is maximum assistance to the movement of people with travel, business, medical and other humanitarian purposes, and to reduce financial cost and time, spent for this issue, for every citizen" - said the Foreign Ministry of Georgia.
Recall, from October 2010 the Georgian government abolished visa requirements for citizens of the North Caucasian republics.
