Eduard Kokoity: the enemies of South Ossetia are ready to provocations
South Ossetian President Eduard Kokoity warned the security forces of the Republic about the possibility of provocation before the elections of the head of state.
According to news agency "Res", Kokoity said that from different sources there was information about the possibility of commiting "the resonance of crimes" on the territory of South Ossetia, the organizers of which are hoping to destabilize the country.
"In this regard, the security forces of the Republic should take all measures to strengthen work in this direction" - he said.
"Our enemies have no arguments, because in South Ossetia everything is quiet, and they can attempt to destabilize the situation and thereby to discredit the republic in any way. They don't have other aims and opportunities" - said Kokoity.
Recall, that the presidential election in South Ossetia is scheduled in November this year.
Earlier, acting president of South Ossetia, Eduard Kokoity, has promised that he would not run for office for the next election.
"I have kept all the promises I gave in 2001" - he said.
The president added that he doesn't intend to change the Constitution "by itself", so as to obtain the right to go for a third presidential term.
"Among the political elite of South Ossetia there is a young, talented people who can lead the republic to a future" - said Kokoity.
Eduard Kokoity was first elected president of South Ossetia in 2001. Subsequently, in 2006 he won re-election to that post.
