Georgia is "saddened" by the position of Armenia
Official Tbilisi has called the fact that Armenia did not support Georgia in a vote in the UN on resolution on refugees "sad". As the "Georgia-News" reported, such a statement was made today at a briefing to reporters by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Nino Kalandadze.
"We know their (Armenia) attitude to the conflict, which bases on the perspective of Armenia and which differs from the views of Georgia, and we openly declare our friends (Armenia), that this position is unacceptable to Georgia" - said the deputy minister.
"We meet the fact that Armenia did not share our official position on this issue with regret. Moreover, we have officially declared that the resolution has only a humanitarian nature and does not put a political motivation" - added Kalandadze.
"The official Tbilisi will continue its efforts to convince our Armenian colleagues of the veracity of our position" - said Kalandadze.
Recall, last week's the UN General Assembly adopted resolution on Georgia - "Status of Internally Displaced Persons and Refugees from Abkhazia, Georgia and Tskhinval region/South Ossetia" by 57 votes "for" and 13 "against". Armenia did not support the document, as in previous years.
