Kobalia questioned the necessity of the return of Georgian wines in Russia
Minister of Economy and Stable Development of Sakartvelo Vera Kobalia questioned the suitability of talking about the return of Georgian wine to Russia. "It is wrong to talk about the return of Georgian products to the Russian market in terms of "occupation" of 20 percent of Georgian territory by Russian troops" - "Georgia-News" quoted words of Kobalia. This is how the Georgian minister commented on the meeting between the chief sanitary doctor of Russia Gennady Onishchenko and the leader of the opposition party "Free Georgia" Kakha Kukava in Moscow.
"Everything depends on what the Georgian products will substitute in the Russian market. I think that the first question to be solved is occupation. And we should talk about return of Georgian wine to Russia only after that" - underlined Kobalia.
Recall, the other day the leader of "Free Georgia" Kukava published results of his trip to Moscow, where he met with the Chief Sanitary Doctor of Russia Gennady Onishchenko. After this meeting, Kukava noted that there is a hope for the return of Georgian products to Russia before the end of 2011.
