Distant relative of Pushkin can be buried in Sakartvelo
In Sakartvelo they study a version of that in 1836 here was buried great-grandmother of great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin. As the "Georgia-News" reported referring to the TV channel "Rustavi 2", at the moment scientists are looking for confirmation of this version.
Experts are studying the grave of Natalie Hannibal in Dusheti in eastern Georgia. According to locals, she was buried at the family cemetery of princes Karangozishvili and Mozdokeli.
Villager Tamar Mozdokeli has learnt about this burial from old documents of her family.
According to records, in 1836 there was buried a close relative of Pushkin, said the TV programs. Natalie Hannibal died December 30, 1836 after a long disease which she caught while traveling on a phaeton on the Georgian Military Highway.
