Abkhazia ratified an agreement on military-technical cooperation with Russia
The agreement between the governments of Abkhazia and Russia on military-technical cooperation was ratified by the Parliament of Abkhazia on the eve. As recalled by Agency "Apsnipress", the agreement was signed in Moscow on 17 February 2010.
The document aims at providing an enabling environment for the development of military-technical cooperation between the two countries and expresses firm commitment to the principles of sovereignty, territorial integrity and inviolability of borders, said the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Defense and National Security Garik Samanba in an interview.
As the Abkhaz deputies believe, the document will benefit the military-technical cooperation of Russia and Abkhazia in the delivery of weapons and military equipment and other military products, providing operation, maintenance and upgrade products for military use and, in addition, the training of highly qualified military personnel.
