Georgian policeman accused of homicide by negligence
Georgian police officer was arrested for the murder of a young 24-year-old woman - Nino Koberidze. As the "Georgia-News" reported referring to InterpressNews, the tragedy occurred in the village Knolevi, Karelian region. An employee of the local Interior department was at his post when he accidently made a shot from a sniper rifle, which he was cleaning at the time.
Policeman was charged with homicide by negligence.
However, previously the head of the village administration Gia Gelashvili claimed in an interview that the shots were made from the village Znauri in Tskhinval. According to him, the shooting lasted for several minutes.
The Georgian Interior Ministry has not commented on reports about shots and detention of policeman.
