Expert: Georgia provides diversification across markets
According to the Georgian expert - economist, Eka Lekashvili, the recent Georgian-Chinese business forum has once again pointed the fact that Georgia is increasingly beginning to keep pace with the process of modern globalization and actually provides diversification across markets.
As the "Business-Georgia" recalled, the recent meeting was organized by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia, National Invest Agency, Chamber of Commerce and the Employers' Association. The event was attended by some 30 Chinese companies.
"Investment from China means that the leading country in the world (ranked first in the production of GDP, and even got ahead the United States according to the 2011) is interested in the Georgian market. We can not say that Georgia has interested China with cheap labor or low-cost market of production factors. But we are talking about restoration infrastructure probably necessary for the Silk Road and the development of free economic zones, which Chinese businessmen will invest" - concluded Lekashvili in an interview.
