As the "GHN" reported, this moment action in support of the detained photographers in front of the residence of Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili has begun.
According to the news agency, protesters have symbolically closed the ears with their hands in a sign that the Georgian leader not to hear them. The action involves about 100 journalists. They demand the authorities of the country to make the investigation public.
Recall, on the eve of the Georgian Interior Minister Vano Merabishvili has refused to meet journalists, who offered to release detained photographers on bail, reports GHN.
According to the chief editor of the newspaper "Resonance" Lasha Tugushi, during the meeting the Minister did not tell journalists something new. "He repeated what we know. - has noted Tugushi. - The only new fact that Merabishvili said to us was that the trial will take place soon, in about a month, and he supports the prosecutor's office that the trial should be open".
However, according to Tugushi, Merabishvili is constantly trying to convince journalists that the detainees are really connected with the special services of foreign states, but he hasn't presented arguments in this case.
Georgian community, as well as the world community, has been recently appealing to the authorities of Georgia to make the trial of arrested photographers "transparent" and fair, as well as to declassify at least some of the facts of the case to make public acquainted with them.
