Kokoity: Georgian authorities are eager for revanche
As the head of South Ossetia Eduard Kokoity believes, the current Georgian authorities are eager for revanche, having suffered a military defeat in 2004 and 2008.
In Tbilisi, they have realized that from a military point of view there is nothing to change, so they are developing various plans to lure South Ossetia in the political orbit of Georgia, the "GHN" cited the words Kokoity said in an interview to IA "Res."
"We should not create any confederations and federations with Georgia. If we revert to this, our future generations are doomed to more suffering and ordeals. What for we were fighting and placed on the altar of freedom so many lives?" - said Kokoity. He added that South Ossetia was on the right way since the first day of the national liberation movement, and MPs of the first convocation made a great contribution to it.
"They have laid a clear political and legal foundation for our state. This foundation has enabled the implementation of the global challenges facing us. The result is that new Alano-Ossetian State has formed in the map of the world. This is our most important result" - said the head of South Ossetia.
"Elections must be held quietly, in accordance with the law. But those who are trying to divide our society should know that life will not stop at this. It is necessary to respect and appreciate their own people, because the elections will pass but the people remain and all the negative will impact on it" - concluded Kokoity.
