The lawyer believes that confessions of Abdaladze are "absurd"
Lawyer of George Abdaladze detained on charges of spying - Eka Beselia has called confessions of her client "absurd". Furthermore, she stated that video-recorded, promulgated on the eve, is a cut.
"It was not ordinary form of interrogation ... I have already said that on Friday, when I met with Abdaladze, he was determined to fight and repeated that he was not going to make any confession. But at 11 o'clock at night, when I received a message from the investigator that Abdaladze requires meeting together with the investigator, I had already understood that something clearly had changed" - Beselia said in an interview to "Alia".
"The video shown on TV was a cut" - added Beselia. According to her, interrogation had lasted for about three hours, but a small part of it was promulgated. In addition, the interrogation in the presence of lawyers was held last Saturday, but it was shown on television after almost two days.
"In fact, interrogation of Abdaladze had lasted over three hours. Interrogation was interrupted about 5 or 6 times: they were arguing, swearing, there also was debate and protest. Non of these moments were in promulgated materials. Authority is not satisfied with publication of them. Therefore, I demand to give me all the videos in order to transmit them to the media" - said Beselia.
"If we will take confessions of Abdaladze and evaluate them critically - that is absurd, they are not logical ... After the interrogation, when I met him, George seemed to be unable to speak because he was very depressed" - said Beselia.
According to the lawyer, when she asked him why he decided to confess, Abdaladze said that he could not talk about it.
Recall, on the eve information, that one of the detained photographers, or, perhaps, all of them might conclude a procedural deal with the investigation, was spread.
