Patarkatsishvili's family gets Rustavi Metallurgical Plant back
Rustavi Metallurgical Plant has been returned to family of Badri Patarkatsishvili. As the "Business-Georgia" reported, this information was told to journalists by businessman's widow. She did not specify whether the plant has already been returned to her or it is expected to be returned soon.
"First of all we are talking about returning of metallurgical plant, but I can't tell you details. When it becomes necessary, I'll call and let you know" - said Patarkatsishvili.
Management of the company "Georgian Steel" has so far refrained from comment.
Recall, July 6 in the Georgian capital an agreement under which family of the deceased Georgian billionaire Badri Patarkatsishvili waives all claims to Sakartvelo was signed. Document was signed by the billionaire's widow Inna Gudavadze-Patarkatsishvili and the Deputy Minister of Justice of Georgia Tina Burjaliani. The document will put an end to all legal proceedings against Patarkatsishvili's family from the Georgian authorities.
Family stated that "the government has returned them what it ought to return".
Georgian billionaire Badri Patarkatsishvili died in 2008 of a heart attack.
During the events of November 2007 in Georgia, he sided with the opposition. Therefore, his family blamed the country's authorities for his death.
