2011-07-25 12:19

Georgian security officials were not allowed to use social networks. 19984.jpegThe army and power structures leadership of Georgia calls on its workers to cease use of social networks.

As the "Medianews" reported, a great part of Georgian soldiers and policemen have already terminated their accounts on the "Facebook", "Tweetter" and "Odnoklassniki" - most popular social networks in the country. At the same time, many of them appeared unable to give up these sites; they have alredy created parallel accounts under false data.

It was noted that this campaign has been carried out for several months. According to well-known Georgian security expert Irakli Sesiashvili, such actions of law enforcement agencies are unacceptable interference in the private life of citizens. "You can not punish a man for a probable mistake in the future. This is unacceptable. The problem is this: our government is increasingly convinced that sooner or later employees of public services together with the society will also join the general discontent, which is associated with the wrong policy of the ruling team. Therefore, the authorities are afraid of active social networks. Moreover, servicemen from Iraq and Afghanistan connect with public and tell about their problems through social networking"- he said.
