Tbilisi protests against price increases for fixed route taxi
Residents of the Georgian capital intend to protest against the current rise in prices for the use of fixed route taxi in the city. As the "Georgia-News" reported, citizens of Georgia will express their demands on the pages of social network Facebook.
More than two thousand people has already signed up at the special page established at Facebook. Another 900 people have answered that they "may go to the rally".
In addition, people are going to hold a protest in real life. Thus, a demonstration in front of City Hall and the building of the Sakrebulo (City Council) is scheduled for today.
"We oppose the unfair decision to raise fares and demand that there have been preserved old fares for taxis" - noted users of Facebook.
The statement also expressed concern that if the public will not react to rise of fare, then soon they may rise from 80 tetri (now) to one GEL.
