Number of Internet users in Georgia increased by 26 percent
According to the National Communications Commission of Georgia, the number of Internet users in Georgia increased by 26 percent in 2010, and by the end of the year has exceeded 300 000. According to "Business-Georgia", such figures were released today by the Commission.
But despite this fact, the total amount of income of Internet providers in Sakartvelo in 2010, compared with the previous year, has decreased by 14 million laris, reaching 80.2 million.
Leading position in the Internet market of the country still retain such service providers as "Silknet" and "Kavkazus Online." They control 80 percent of the market revenues.
The vast majority of Georgia's Internet users (90 percent) live in big cities across the country.
