Alasania: Resolution on Georgia was introduced to the U.S. Senate
As the leader of "Free Democrats" Alasania told reporters after meeting with the U.S. senators during a visit to Washington, a resolution on support of Georgia was introduced to the U.S. Senate. Alasania said that he's thanked American side for this step and for support of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Georgia, as Trend reported.
"But at the same time, Georgia needs to make changes that will force the Abkhazians and Ossetians to look in our direction and to resume relations with the Georgian public. But Saakashvili and his team have no resource on this unfortunately" - said Alasania.
Earlier, the head of Georgia's "Free Democrats" has met with with Senators Joe Lieberman and John McCain in the U.S. capital.
