Kobalia will report back to the Parliament
The head of the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia Vera Kobalia next week will report back to Parliament to explain the situation around the upcoming auction for control of the Tbilisi television tower. New opposition faction of the Parliament of Georgia "Unity for Justice" called on her explanations.
As reported by the "Georgia-News", Economics Ministry has decided to put to auction the right of management of the organization "Alfa-com" (formerly Teleradiotsentr Georgia) during four years. According to the Ministry, company owns 91 buildings and structures.
"I do not know exactly who is behind the company "Alpha-com", but the fact that it takes place a year before an election means that this process makes interests for authorities. These suspicions were strengthened by the fact that this process is closed" - said the chairman of the faction George Tsagareishvili.
If Kobalia is not able to come to Parliament, the fraction demands that her deputy "who can competently answer the questions" come, he added.
The official faction has already received treatment of Deputy State Secretary Khatuna Kapanadze.
Auction on the sale of the TV tower is scheduled for August 1.
