Russia and Abkhazia will cooperate in the field of customs
Last week, a bill on cooperation between Russia and Abkhazia in the field of customs was introduced to Russian State Duma for ratification. According to "Apsnipress", the document was introduced by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev. The document was signed on October 16, 2010 in Sukhum. It aims to strengthen cooperation in the field of customs and to fight against customs violations.
As noted in explanatory material, it also contains rules on facilitation of passenger and cargo traffic between two countries and ensuring collection of customs payments in full.
In addition, the participants undertake to abide prohibitions and restrictions in respect of goods transported across the border.
