Burjanadze asked to examine the activities of a number of Georgian media
Georgian Board of journalistic ethics and media experts has recieved a request to examine the activities of the Georgian TV channels. As reported by the "GHN", a document was sent by "Democratic Movement" of Georgia, led by Nino Burjanadze.
The "movement" believe that it is necessary to examine activities of those media which are controlled by official authorities. The sense of these charges of opposition is the fact that pro-government media perform biased coverage of events that occurred in Georgia on May 26. Burjanadze's party believe that some TV channels and radio "which are controlled by the authorities shamelessly, without any evidence have spread lies, previously directed by Saakashvili and a purpose of which was to present Nino Burjanadze and her supporters as murderers".
"We are talking about well-known video, distributed by the Interior Ministry, which allegedly displayed a moment when Burjanadze's escort had knocked a man" - said the message of Burjanadze's party.
Later, National Bureau of Forensic Inquiry n.a. Levan Samkharadze announced data of expertise, according to which the opposition's escort did not knock a man on May 26.
