Georgian-American joint venture will build new hydropower plant in Imereti
Сompany IG Energy wants to build a new hydropower plant at the Hanistskali river in Georgia. As reported by the "Business-Georgia", this is a joint American-Georgian venture. According to the Ministry of Energy of Georgia, the object is in the list of potential alternative sources of energy in the country.
The new HPS will be built at the Hanistskali river in Imereti region in western Georgia. Its minimum established capacity will amount of 6.4 MW and electricity production per year will average 48.12 kWh / h.
Application for construction have already been made to the relevant authorities.
