Small businessmen will be checked by private auditors
Now Georgian taxpayers who work in small business can benefit from the so-called "private audience". As reported by the "Georgia-News", it will be possible after small businessmen in Georgia will be involved in the project "alternative audit".
As the Revenue Service said, selection of private auditors to carry out inspections of taxpayers, whose annual turnover was does not exceed 100 thousand GEL on the basis of declared data, begins in frameworks of "alternative audit".
Now, after receipt of a summons about a check, the taxpayer is entitled to chose a private auditor, whose data is published at the site of the Revenue Service.
Recall, the Prime Minister Nikoloz Gilauri familiarized representatives of the Business Association of Georgia (BAG) with innovations in the tax area initiated by the Revenue Service and Treasury Department on April 2011. According to him, the main innovation is involvement of private audit firms in tax audits of businessmen working in small businesses.
