A landslide damaged the road to the Upper Lars checkpoint
In Georgia, due to heavy landslide which damaged the road, traffic of vehicles towards the checkpoint Upper Lars is temporarily halted. As reported by the "GHN" referring to the information released by the deputy governor of Mtskheta-Mtianeti Givi Amirhanashvili, by a fluke no one was hurt during a disaster.
The landslide was caused by heavy rains befallen the region. Heavy rain began in the Kazbegi region last night. In turn, the storm caused a landslide that damaged areas of roads.
According to the specialists of the local MOE staff and road services, the traffic at the damaged areas of roads will be restored in coming hours.
