Kvezereli outlined plans of the Ministry of Agriculture
The head of the Georgian Ministry of Agriculture Bakur Kvezereli on the eve outlined plans of its subordinate ministries in the near future. As reported by the "Business-Georgia", in particular, the minister said that in the near future the Ministry of Agriculture intends to launch two programs. The main tasks of both projects is improvement of production of such crops as sunflower and bean.
According to Kvezereli, these programs are focused on increasing yields of these crops. The Ministry has decided to import of seeds of the highest quality from abroad for this purpose. Sunflower and bean seeds have already been tested in Georgia and has shown the best results.
Recall, on the eve, Kvezereli announced figures on the expected yield of grain in Georgia this year. According to the Minister, it is expected to reach 75 thousand tons this year.
